Medieval city of Zutphen
The city of Zutphen is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. Because of its large historic medieval buildings that form the city’s skyline, Zutphen is also known as the Tower City.
It has a spacious, attractive shopping street, (plant) markets and characteristic courtyards. The city has more than 500 monuments.
Highlights Zutphen

In the Middle Ages, this hall served as a butcher’s house, later as a court, prison and butter hall. If you look at the heavy beam construction, it looks like an upside-down ship is hanging.
National Monument Ruins BerkelpoortBeautiful water gate that connected two settlements on the banks of the river De Berkel in the 14th century and is part of the city walls of Zutphen.
